Facilitating the Linkage of Environmental and Health Data to Advance Patient-Centered Outcomes Research

Our environment plays a critical role in shaping our health, yet linking environmental and health data remains a challenge. The CHORDS project is building a robust data infrastructure to bridge this gap, enabling patient-centered research on the health impacts of environmental factors such as air and water quality, extreme temperatures, and natural disasters.

CHORDS provides accessible, harmonized, and interoperable data on environmental exposures and health outcomes, along with analytical and educational resources. These tools support researchers, health practitioners, public health officials, and communities in assessing health risks, developing evidence-based interventions, and anticipating potential health impacts—ultimately helping to protect and improve public health worldwide.
