Addressing the wide range of health impacts of climate change

Direct health impacts of physical climate hazards (e.g. heatwave, flood, wildlife), and second-order health impacts (e.g. wildfire smoke impact on air quality, extended transmission period for vector-borne disease). Example interventions include urban green cooling, seasonal malaria chemoprophylaxis.

Th COP28 Prospectus of Climate and Health Solutions presents a suite of tangible climate and health interventions that are being implemented by partners and communities across the world. The aim of this work is to highlight existing solutions and best practice, and to demonstrate the investment case for health in climate financing, and climate change in health financing.
