A major milestone of COP30 will be the launch of the Belém Health Action Plan during Health Day on 13 November. Two companion reports on Evidence and Social Participation will accompany the Plan, grounding it in science and community voice.
Health is featured prominently among the 30 key objectives of the COP30 Action Agenda, specifically under Fostering Human and Social Development. Objective 16, Promoting resilient health systems, underscores the growing recognition of health as both a frontline impact area and a lever for wider social and economic resilience.
Through this focus, COP30 aims to mobilize countries, cities, and stakeholders to join the Mutirão for Health and Climate, a collective effort to accelerate solutions that safeguard lives while advancing the goals of the Paris Agreement.
For the fifth consecutive year, WHO and partners will host the Health Pavilion in the Blue Zone, featuring two weeks of events and discussions designed to put health and equity at the heart of climate negotiations. The Pavilion will showcase evidence, partnerships, and innovative action for a healthier, more resilient future.
