The MHPSS Collaborative serves as a global hub for research, innovation, learning, and advocacy in mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS). It connects academic and humanitarian actors with local civil society to empower children and families in fragile and humanitarian settings to thrive.
The Collaborative envisions a world that prioritizes and cares for the mental health and wellbeing of children, youth, and families. Its mission is to foster connections, generate knowledge, and develop innovative approaches to enhance mental health and wellbeing for those facing adversity.
Through its work, the Collaborative convenes local and global stakeholders, facilitates partnerships, and fosters engagement to address critical challenges. It drives innovation in solutions for child, youth, and family mental health, co-develops and shares knowledge to advance global learning, and influences decision-makers to invest in multisectoral MHPSS as a vital measure.
The Collaborative’s approach is guided by key principles, including adolescent and youth participation, whole-family approaches, and capacity strengthening.
