In Mozambique, climate change poses growing threats to public health, including increased disease burdens and climate-sensitive events. This case study details the country’s efforts to monitor and respond to climate risks on health by integrating early warning systems and improving climate-informed surveillance in the health sector. With support from key stakeholders, including ATACH, Mozambique developed multisectoral collaborations and data-driven frameworks to strengthen preparedness. The initiative highlights how timely, climate-informed decision-making can improve public health outcomes, reduce vulnerability, and enhance resilience in the face of climate shocks. This case study serves as a model for other countries looking to build climate-resilient health systems through coordinated monitoring and early intervention strategies.
