This technical report outlines the methodology
used in the selection and development of climate
hazard indices for use in the WHO Health and Climate Change Country Profile project. The report describes in detail the scope and underlying principles of the development of national climate hazard indices for use in the health and climate change country profiles
(Chapter 2), the indices that were selected and
why they are relevant for health (Chapter 3), the
methodology used to develop climate hazard
indices under high and low emissions scenarios
(Chapter 4), a description of the data analysis, the
time series plots, summary statistics, and how
to interpret the findings (Chapter 5) and finally,
some of the limitations of the data and areas for
improvements (Chapter 6).
