British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), UK Met Office

A UV smartphone app has been created by the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) in collaboration with the UK’s Met Office which gives a free daily UV forecast for over 10,000 locations worldwide.
The UV forecast identifies the peak strength of the UV radiation from the sun at a particular place on a particular day.
The forecast is based on the UV Index, an internationally recognised scale for measuring the level of Ultraviolet radiation from the sun at a particular place and time. The index has a range of 1 to 11 – the higher the level, the greater the risk of skin damage.
