This webinar is the first in a series of technical webinars on conducting climate change and health vulnerability and adaptation assessments. This series aims to provide further training and technical discussion on specific aspects of conducting a climate change and health V&A, including through the sharing of practical experiences.

A climate change and health vulnerability and adaptation assessment (V&A) assesses current and future vulnerability (the susceptibility of a population or region to harm) to the health risks of climate change, and of policies and programmes that could increase resilience, taking into account the multiple determinants of climate-sensitive health outcomes. The results of the V&A are used to ensure climate change and health policies, programmes and interventions are evidence-based and target groups experiencing specific climate-related health risks.

Getting started: conducting climate change and health vulnerability & adaptation assessments, will provide an overview of the WHO methodology for conducting climate change and health V&As and share experiences on getting started on conducting a V&A. The session includes interactive, small-group activities and group discussion.
