The DHMZ supports the economic and sustainable development of Croatia and assists in the protection of lives, goods and the environment by providing information on weather, climate, hydrological and ecological events and climate extremes. The DHMZ manages the meteorological and hydrological infrastructure, air quality monitoring infrastructure, as well as the national archives of meteorological, hydrological and other relevant data.

This project consists of improvement of non-structural flood risk management measures that will achieve the targeted result of flood risk reduction, with other positive results related to improvements in monitoring, analysis and finding optimal solutions for integrated and sustainable management of water, aquatic environment and flood risks.
The purpose of the project is to improve
and optimize the system for managing and monitoring air quality in urban areas, zones and agglomerations.
I-STORMS is a regional cooperation project focused on the exchange of knowledge, data and forecasts for early warning of sea surges and sea flooding, through joint infrastructure, joint risk response strategies, the project plans an innovative approach to data sharing, joint early warning guidelines for the public and rescue and rescue services, a transnational strategy for reducing the risk of flooding, and establishing a permanent forum for partner co-operation in the project and national participants and users.
This project was initiated in 1977 as a special programme under the UNECE. It operates under the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP) since the Convention entered into force. Since then the EMEP programme became scientifically based and policy driven instrument for international co-operation to solve transboundary air pollution problems. Since 1999, the main objective of EMEP is to provide sound scientific support for the Convention, in particular in the areas of: atmospheric monitoring and modelling of transboundary fluxes of air pollutants, emission inventories and emission projections, and integrated assessment modelling.
Climate variability and manifestations of climate change in Croatia with potential impact on urban environment are in the focus of this project.
AutoPollen program aims to establish a prototype network for real-time automatic pollen monitoring across Europe. The program will receive, process and distribute data made by AutoPollen participant, who include both EUMETNET members and 3rd parties.
